Data2Rates, a new service from Data2Logistics, provides clients with a quick and easy tool to reduce logistics costs. Data2Rates identifies the lowest cost carrier for specific point-to-point moves. To use this service, Data2Logistics clients simply enter shipment characteristics at an Internet site that then displays available--rates in ascending order--from carriers with whom that client already has rate agreements.
Shipments can be executed electronically from this site, and a bill of lading and shipping labels can be prepared and printed. The system allows Data2Logistics clients to store customer and site information in a Rolodex that populates consignee and shipper address information.
